The current website provided information on its product line which met the requirements and purpose. However, there was a large piece missing from their current website, which was how do the general consumer purchase and locate which stores within their local area can they get the product.
There was no online marketing strategy and they really needed to create a strong brand and awareness to its target market, which are women. There was a strong push to have their product introduced and sought after by its user.
Solution
Website Redesign and Developement
We re-designed the website to provide a more compelling experience and product centered. There was more product iformation and greater detail. to create a strong brand and message, we made sure that all creatives from print catalog through to website design, and all communication pieces that there was continuity and consistency in the message and creatives.
We also provided a much needed store locator so that visitors can locate the nearest retail store which carries the product line. This process allowed us to integrate and access retailers information on legacy system ( AS400) to display store information to visitors. The benefits of the store locator will help drive store traffic to their retailers and also ease of purchase for visiotrs to the website.
We created a blog for the product development team to start spreading and start communicating about thier product. With collaboration with the Communications Manager this was the start to introducing the products to their target market, but not only that, it is also part of improving the website search engine ranking.
Search Engine Optimization
Optimized keywords on each page relevant to the content. Site titles, meta tag description and concentration on the strongest keywords that best describe the topic of the page content. With collaboration with the Communications Manager, content was written based on keywords relevant to each page targetting strongest keywords early in the copy with careful consideration of unnecessary repetition of keywords ( keyword stuffing ). Using relevant keyword phrases as anchor text helps solidify search negine perpection of the relationship between pages and the words used in the link. While time consuming in the early stages, the results are worth the effort for more advanced future work. Timeframe for result and monitoring of ranking ranges from 6 months to 1 year.
Email marketing
With over 2000 approved retail vendors to market to, email marketing campaign on a regular basis was implemented. Used third party vendor, to distribute email campaign, for the purpose of promoting sales of new and existing products. Added a newsletter form on the website to capture email of interested visitors to receive on-going email promotion of product. Monitored ROI of each individual email campaigns through general reporting statistics provided by third party vendor and also Google analytics.
Social Media
Created facebook fan page and twitter account to help promote product offering and announcement. Promote actively as part of creating and bringing more awareness to the Time and Again brand, and improve customer communication. With the interconnections of individuals using social media this can only help bring greater visibility to the brand and image.
Analytics/Reporting
Applied Google Analytics to track and monitor website usage, visitor behaviour, new and returning visitors and much more. By having a defined goal and overall strategy, through analytics and reporting, we can now measure and see if we are achieving our goal.
